Heartland is pleased to announce that Rich Stazinski has been named to the U.S. State Department’s newly formed Advisory Committee on Responsible Business Conduct.
The objective of this federal advisory committee is to provide expertise, knowledge, and insight to the U.S. Department of State on issues related to responsible business conduct (RBC) from key stakeholders. The committee provides advice and recommendations on RBC opportunities and challenges, including on business and human rights.
The membership of the committee consists of 34 experts from U.S. civil society organizations, companies, associations, institutions, and other relevant stakeholders with an interest in business and human rights. The committee reports to the Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, and will play a critical role in shaping U.S. policy on RBC.
“I am truly honored to be selected for the Advisory Committee on Responsible Business Conduct,” said Rich Stazinski. “This opportunity enables us—investors, civil society organizations, policymakers, and companies—to create environments that promote human rights in business. I look forward to collaborating with esteemed colleagues to drive meaningful change and help shape the future of U.S. policy on RBC.”
