IMF: Empower Civic Groups Against Covid-19 Corruption

Heartland joined Human Rights Watch and 95 other human rights and good governance organizations in urging the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to consistently and formally incorporate anti-corruption measures into its COVID-19 pandemic-related emergency funding. In a letter to IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, the organizations called on the IMF to take concrete steps to empower and support independent groups in monitoring these funds to help prevent government corruption.
